Man... My father passed away on March 2, 2014, two days before his 60th Birthday. It was a very very tough time for me. This was one of the first beats I made after I got back to Texas from attending his funeral. I'm listening to this record by The Whispers and the sample I used came on. It was basically a eulogy record for Donny Hathaway. So I start making this beat. My mom walks in and asked me "Hey, did you know your Dad's favorite group was The Whispers?" I had no idea. Not the best beat I've ever made, but definitely one I cherish most... RIP to my Pop's
